Trade and services: The Seinäjoki region is the sixth-largest market area in Finland. More than 200,000 people live in the market area, which extends past the borders of the county. In car sales, for example, Seinäjoki attracts customers from across the country. In addition to existing large trading units, shopping centres and specialist shops, companies are currently investing in tens of thousands of square metres of new shopping space in Seinäjoki and will continue to do so in the near future as well.

Health technology: The Mediwest health technology centre develops new products and services for social and health care. This new line of business involves companies, research units and professors, universities and other institutions of higher education as well as social and health care professionals.

Our rising companies: Several fairly young enterprises have the guts and potential to become one of the region's strongest companies in the field of intelligent technology, for example. Interesting business concepts and future investment opportunities are offered by Opsec Oy, Sofica Ltd, Exertus Oy and Jucat Oy.
