| 9.6.08 A huge shopping center will be build to Seinäjoki.
The area of ”Jouppi” , close to the center of City of Seinäjoki, is under strong development work. The goal is to construct a strong commercial center which reaches also for international interest groups. The City of Seinäjoki and YIT Oy will build together a 120 000m2 shopping center including a service station and parking places for 2700 vehicles in a area of 30 hectares. When completed, the shopping center will be one of the biggest in Finland creating 1000 new placements of work.
“Lakeuden Ankkuri”, it is called, will be a unique and totally different shopping center. This huge shopping center strengthens Seinäjoki’s attraction to appeal customers widely also outside from Seinäjoki region. A bridge connecting to the shopping center from the highway will be build. This enables area’s continuous development. |
